March MATness 2026: Days 4-10
Here we go with the next seven days in our month long celebration of Joseph Pilates’ original 34 Mat exercises - what fun!
Greetings Reader,
Are you a Pilates fan?
Whether you are or not I hope you’re moving your body in a way that brings you joyful pleasure. Are you dancing? running? weight lifting? surfing? walking? jump roping? bouldering? Whatever it is, I’d love to know

As you know I love Pilates so please indulge me as I continue my celebration of March MATness, the Pilates world’s celebration of Joseph H. Pilates’ original 34 Mat exercises.
Each day of the month we highlight one (or two) exercises and I have written deep dives on most of them. Rather than clog up your inbox every day, I’ve gathered a week’s worth of links for you. Dip in and out as you see fit. There are video tutorials at the bottom of the posts but at the end of the month they will behind a paywall for paying subscribers.
Without further ado, here are days four through ten:
March 4th, One Leg Circle / Single Leg Circle*
March 5th, Rolling Back / Rolling Like A Ball*
March 6th & 7th, One / Single Leg Stretch & Double Leg Stretch*
(Scissors is included in this post)
March 8th, Spine Stretch
March 9th, Rocker With Open Legs / Open Leg Rocker*
March 10th, Corkscrew
*Different names for the same exercise: From Joseph Pilates’ Return To Life, vs. what it was called in my training program
Remember, if you have any questions regarding the Mat exercises please don’t hesitate to ask, I’d love to be your Pilates resource!
Be Well! Be Vibrant!

P.S. missed days one-three?
