I’ve been trying to send this as an email for several days but keep being stymied. But what I lack in understanding of how this whole Substack thingy works I make up for with sure-fire stubbornness to figure it out. So, suffice it to say, if you get this in your inbox then I have, actually, finally, figured it out - yay Me!
This is what I’ve been trying to let you know:
Hey There, this Pilates centred missive comes with a special invitation for you.
Join me the whole month of March for a dive into the Classical Pilates repertoire
March is almost here, and that means it’s time for March MATness - the worldwide celebration of Joseph Pilates’ original 34 mat exercises, smooshed into 31 days!
This year, I’m putting my own creative spin on it by exploring the exercises with a Foam Roller - and I’d love for you to join me!
I usually post the daily exercise (or try to) over on the socials by I’m steering clear of them for now, sooo, I’m going to try something new.
What I’ll do instead is keep my celebration here via email but the thing is, if you want to participate, you have to opt in and subscribe (for free) for this particular section of the blog.
The section is called: “March MATness Celebration 2025”
Just so we’re clear, my plan is to send one out one email a day for the 31 days of March to those that subscribe to this cleverly titled section. Yes, it seems a bit crazy but now that I’ve decided to give it a go it’s kindov’ exciting in an “Am I nuts?” sortov’ way.
If this sounds like fun or you’re curious, or you just can’t wait to see my collection of tights - a different pair for each day - then opt in below.
If you’re not signed in to your account you’ll be prompted to do that first, then scroll down to the Notification section, flip the toggle, and bingo - you’ll be on the list!
✨ What To Expect ✨

Not that familiar with March MATness and need a few more details?
Here’s the deal:
First up the name is a play on “March Madness” which is the USA’s college basketball finals tournament. Yes, it spans the month of March.
Over ten years ago, Pilates instructor, Benjamin Degenhardt and his friends, decided they would post to bring awareness to Joseph Pilates’ original work. Turned out there were some folks that didn’t know that Pilates was named after the gentleman that created it! (sadly, that’s still true) March MATness grew and grew until it became a worldwide, unifying campaign for the whole Pilates industry. I think I started participating in 2018 and have been relatively consistent over the years. I love turning it into a chance to be a bit creative with the same 34 exercises.
Won’t you join me? Remember, It’s completely free, but you need to subscribe/opt in to get the daily emails.
Let’s move, celebrate, and roll our way through March together!
See you on your mat,
xBec
